Challenging The Weight Loss Status Quo

If losing weight is so easy then why isn't everyone in perfect shape and their ideal weight?
It's actually not the activities and lifestyle changes that are the hard part with maintaining your ideal weight or just taking off those extra nagging pounds. The problem tends to be two-fold. The weight loss industry promises instant quick-fix results and we are all too busy to take care of our bodies.
Big time weight loss advertisers have known for years how to get in the heads of consumers. Promise them overnight or instant results if they just buy their pills, gadgets, DVD's or diet plans. But do any of these really work. Here's the skinny...

They do work to get you short term results. But, the problem with them all is that they make changes to your lifestyle that are painful, time consuming, or just downright too hard to maintain over an extended period of time. And of course they want you to immediately change everything overnight.

Sure if you radically change your life overnight you can get fast results. But the problem aren't the fast results, it's the mental toll that this takes on you. Your body and mind reject the new way of living because honestly, as human beings, we're programmed to avoid change. We like to be comfortable and generally protect the way we've always done things at all costs. That's why as soon as your quit your new diet or exercise program, you rebound so far the other way to compensate for that pain, that you will actually gain back more weight than when you started in the first place.

One of the main reasons why you can't sustain these results long term is because you're busy. You have relationships, kids, jobs, friends, activities, meals, relaxing time, driving in rush hour, and then when you're day is finally done you still need to sleep.

Who has time to work on losing weight or some crazy new weight loss program? And if you don't have time to take care of your body at the basic level, you normally don't have time or the energy to take off the excess pounds that you've accumulated over the years.

Want a simple solution to both of these systematic weight loss problems?

Instead you should seek a weight loss solution that slowly changes your lifestyle over the course of time with small changes. Doctors and Fitness trainers agree that lifestyle changes are the way to go when it comes to weight loss and they're in a constant battle with the Diet and Weight Loss Industry about it.

Try implementing small lifestyle changes into your life like drinking more water every day, or eating smaller meals more times per day. These changes will immediately start to help boost your metabolism and bring your body back into a better functioning state.

Get Motivated and Stay Motivated!

The key to long term weight loss and fitness success is motivation. Not only do you need to get motivated, but you need to stay motivated – and staying motivated over time is no easy task.

But I’m here to help. Through my years of experience as a personal trainer, I’ve learned what it takes to get motivated and stay motivated. These are my absolute best motivation strategies.

If you’re just starting out, or if you’ve been at it for a while, these tips and tricks will help keep you moving!

Remember, no matter where you’re at, success is always within reach. It just takes a little will power and the right approach.

How to Get Motivated and Stay Motivated – 10 Easy Tips

1. Stop Waiting for Motivation – Motivation isn’t something that just drops from the sky. Before you try anything else, you need to recognize that motivation is created. Something as simple as telling yourself to get up and get moving can do the trick. If you sit around and wait for motivation to hit you, you might be waiting a long time.

2. Make an Agreement with Yourself – It may sound silly, but making an agreement or signing a contract with yourself can be a great way to stay on track with your goals. Be specific, come up with realistic goals, and write things down! Then post your plan where you can see it on a daily basis.

3. Track Your Progress – This is one of the best motivation tips out there. Keeping track of your efforts allows you to look back and review your progress on a regular basis. Nothing is more motivating than seeing things on paper! If you’re looking for an effective tool for tracking your fitness progress, I recommend the Fitlosophy Fitbook.

4. Get Specific – When you track your progress, you need to get specific. This means weighing yourself weekly, taking measurements of key body parts, and even taking pictures. All of these things can help you really see your progress.

5. Focus on Short Term Goals – You definitely need some sort of long term goal to work towards, but focusing on this will quickly lead to frustration. Break down your long term goal into a series of smaller, short term goals. This will make you feel like you’re actually accomplishing something!
6. Exercise in the Morning – Exercising first thing in the morning is a great way to avoid making excuses for yourself! If you do it when you first wake up, you won’t even have the opportunity to procrastinate! For an quick intense morning workout, give this LCD Digital Jump Rope a try.

7. Get the Right Support – Support is a necessary component to weight loss and fitness success. But something as simple as hanging out with like-minded people can help keep you on track. So choose your friends wisely!

8. Get a Personal Trainer – If your support is lacking, or if you feel like you need to be held accountable to someone other than yourself, then a personal trainer might do the trick. Trainers are experts at getting you motivated and keeping you in the right mindset!

9. Tell People – Another easy way to create accountability is to tell people about your fitness goals and efforts. By telling others, you’ll feel some responsibility and pressure to see things through.
10. Reward Yourself – Finally, you should reward yourself on a regular basis. Whether it’s small rewards for meeting weekly goals or big rewards for hitting milestones, rewards can help you stay on track and relieve some of the stress associated with losing weight and working out.

Weight Loss Motivation - Channeling Thinking for a Thinner You

Sitting and thinking about how great your life will be once you lose weight is the wrong outlook. You need to be feeling better about yourself while you are losing weight, or you probably never will get where you want to go. Your attitude is a powerful part of weight loss motivation, because if you don't believe you can get rid of those extra pounds and, more importantly, keep them off, you have very little chance for success.

Changing your lifestyle is a necessary part of the equation for weight loss because if you were eating what you should and exercising regularly, you wouldn't have any need for weight loss motivation. Once you come to the obvious reason for your weight gain, you must then wrestle with any self-doubt you might have in your ability to modify your ways and drop the pounds.

If doubt creeps into your mind, it can negate what you are capable of doing as far as losing weight and maintaining good health. Whether you accept it or not, your subconscious beliefs are what stimulate weight loss motivation or leave you overweight.

Junk Thoughts and Junk Foods
Of course, junk food contributes to added fat, but junk thoughts are even more of a problem. Whenever you are gaining weight that you can't drop, you can be assured that the primary problem begins in your brain. If you have grown to believe that junk food is good for you or doesn't do any harm, and that it doesn't have anything to do with your weight problems, you have adopted junk thinking, and all your efforts are wasted until you purge your brain of such thoughts.

Who Is Naturally Thin
It may seem that some people never need to consider nutrition or exercise because they naturally stay thin. You may be envious of these people for having something you don't have, but the truth is you are able to slim down and stay that way, too, if you will only get some weight loss motivation and a positive attitude.

It should be no wonder that the reason why people are "naturally" slim is that they have developed the mind to master the matter of their bodies. They don't lust for junk foods and sit on their rears every chance they get. They realize the value of good, tasty, nutritious food and they stay active.
Computerize Your Mind
Our brains are like the central processing unit (the hard drive) of a personal computer. If we load the right software, and maintain our system so it runs the way it should, we won't get viruses or bloated file folders. Our systems won't crash, so we can keep on computing, just the way we want. It is simple to make the changes necessary to your own 'mind software' and I can provide you will the tools to do just that.

Let me show you how to correct your thinking and get you back to a trimmer and happier you. Once your mind gets on your side with weight loss motivation, there won't be any reason for you to worry about your weight ever again.

The idea that your subconscious mind may be actively blocking your conscious efforts to lose weight can be hard to swallow at first. So in addition to revealing my top 4 secrets to effective weight loss, I have included in my free report "Visualization Secrets For Weight Loss Success" a section on how mastering your subconscious mind through visualization can make all the difference to your level of weight loss success.
